Well~~ had my NTU HSS camp from 4/7 to 7/7. I reached Boon lay bus interchange at 9am and saw many familiar faces around!! Ya~! there were alot of NYJCians. It's nice to see so many familiar faces around, made me feel closer to HSS. There were 4 NYJCians in my Orientation group(OG). They were Beisi, Lingli, Limei and of course...........drumsroll...........ME!!!!!!! *duh i know:P*.
FIRST DAY:
First we had some ice breaker games. Realised my OG members like singing and we started singing Lao Shu Ai Da mi together. Haha. It became our theme song thereafter....because it was quite a catchy song. Anyway, there was only one guy in Anubis(my OG)!! So kelian! We girls couldnt help but kept talking among ourselves. And he was always alone. We tried asking him to join us and to our surprise, he happily sang Tong Hua for us!!! Hee. Nice song!! I like.
We had alot of games that were specially designed to make us all wet and dirty. Haha. Yeapx. And i really regretted not bring my muddy-looking NY tees as well as my PE shorts. Anyway, my group members are all so nice and sporty, and we managed to win most of the games on Day 1!! Cheers Anubis!!
SECOND DAY:
PAGEANT AND TALENT QUEST CONTEST!!
Our group sent Limei, Aki and the only guy, Zhi Zong for the pageant contest. The most interesting part was when Zhi Zong sang Tong Hua while acting out an MTV with Aki. Hee. Aki sang First love upon my request and Limei sang Zui Shu Xi De Mo Sheng Ren. Wha~~seems like our group members are all talented in singing:P
For the talent quest contest, i acted as someone being dumped by my bf~And Beisi acted as my bf because i felt paiseh holding on to Zhi Zong face and begging him not to leave me and stuffs. That kind of cheesy dialogue. After i was dumped, the other girls came and we sang Jie Jie Mei Mei Zhan Chu Lai.
Well, this song is actually saying after meeting all the bad ones, you will definitely meet your Me right some day some how, so don't give up on relationships, don't sink yourself in that bad memory, move on. I actually felt quite sad when i acted that role. Seems like my life is just all about unsuccessful and hurtful relationships. Damn. I feel so dejected now. Ahhhh. :( *Looking around for shoulders* But i was the only one in the living room at this weird hours.
After singing that song, the other girls said some meaningful words and we cheered. There was one point when everyone kind of forgot the cheer so i led them along. Everyone was surprised that i had quite a loud voice which made me the Cheer I/C for Day 3 cheerfight.
Everyone enjoyed the show and the results of the contest will only be released on Day 3.
We had some talks in the Changi chalet which we all stayed in. SURPRISE SURPRISE!! A girl who looked like Bao er(NYJC A7A) said she had been a bargirl before. I could see everyone looking shocked and mouth wide open. In case you wonder who is Bao er, she was my ex classmate with horribly permed hair, pimples all over her face and what irritates us most is her action. She likes to twirl her long permed hair and catwalk in school. So ya...makes me wonder if there is any criteria in being a bar girl. While we were chatting in chalet, this Baoer-lookalike said:"Actually i have a boyfriend for 4 years. I feel that if i didn't tell you all, i am being very selfish". Akward silence. Do you feel what we feel? Well, i thought i was the only one who dislike her so everyone has the same sentiments as me. And whats worst is she is my assigned buddy for the whole camp!!!! But well, i kept talking to other group members.
At night, after our talks, we went Old Changi Hospital. The holding area was just infront of the Montuary. We could hear the howlings of wind as well as dogs. Many finds it spooky but surprisingly i thought it was okay. Probably because there were still others around. If i was left alone there, i guessed i would have burst into tears. Pairs by pairs were asked to enter a chalet, designed to look like a haunted house. Well, i must say the seniors were very successful because i really got "heart attacks" everytime some "ghosts" grabbed my leg or arms. I knew they were our seniors but everything was so real! After much screaming, the walk was finally over. Back to the chalet, i heard Baoer-lookalike telling some girls how frightened i was. I thought i was the one consoling her when she was so scared back at the Old Changi Hospital. But well, since everyone dislikes her, i doubt they believed her story. She was obviously trying to grab everyone attention by either cooking up some stories or breaking some shocking news about her to us. Anyway, everyone slept damn late. I think it was 4am when we finally got to bed.
DAY 3:
Had the cheer fight and we won!!!!!! Everyone cheered together and we feel the bond so close....so close to our hearts. We shouted with all our might. We could feel our abodmen muscles getting tighter. We were to shout for continuously 3 mins and our cheer was only 17 secs. It goes like this: V~~~~~~~~~ Bomb!! V ah V ah V ah Bomb! Bomb ah Bomb ah Bomb ah V! V ah Bomb, Bomb ah V! We Are, We Are, We are~~~~ ANUBIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We were the overall champion for cheerfight, we were the overall champion for all games and Aki was the overall pageant!!! Haha~ So proud to be an anubisn:P We won ourselves $100+ worth of Breko voucher too!!!
Tired tired. Hitch a cab and off i went home to sleep and revitalise.
